Calculator results
All calculations produced by the SPMT World calculator are indicative and intended for early-stage planning only. They are no substitute for a project-specific engineering calculation performed and signed by a qualified transport engineer.
The calculation methodology (SPMT World specification Rev B) has been desk-validated against DNV-GL-ST-N001 Marine operations and marine warranty (Sep 2018 ed., amended Jan 2020). An independent engineering review of the full calculator is required before public release — this review has not yet been completed. Until it has, the full calculator (Modules 2–8) should be treated as reference material only.
Scope limits
The geometric stability method implemented in this calculator is valid for stable, firm ground only. It does not cover ro-ro / ramp crossings, floating equipment, soft ground, or load-out scenarios. These require a project-specific stiffness analysis and are explicitly out of scope.
Equipment data
All equipment values in the calculator (axle load ratings, tractive forces, stroke limits, etc.) are generic placeholders. They are not manufacturer-verified. Before using calculator results for any engineering decision, replace these values with verified manufacturer datasheet figures.
Fleet data
Fleet data on company profiles is compiled from public sources. It is provided for information only. SPMT World does not guarantee its accuracy, completeness or currency. Every figure is published with a source URL — users are encouraged to verify independently.
Liability
SPMT World accepts no liability for any loss, injury or damage resulting from reliance on calculator results or fleet data. By using this platform you acknowledge that results are indicative only and require independent verification.
